Martin from Colombia
This summer in our Camillos Summer Kitchen at the former elementary school; Tversted Skole, we had a fantastic ‘visit’ from Martin from Colombia. He ended up staying with us all August in Tversted, and helped with everything in and around the kitchen. We first met Martin in Berlin back in the spring, and he told us there, that he would love to join us for a period, when we had started our summer project in Denmark. Maybe we didn’t really believe in it, but one day he arrived in Frederikshavn with the boat from Göteborg.
Besides being of great help in the summer kitchen, Martin was also a very poetic and reflecting contribution to our team – always ready with a question or a comment, sharing a thought, coming up with a good idea, joining our talks about the future, sending greetings from his mum back in Bogota – and sharing some very fine photos from his look at things in Camillos Kitchen.
Here’s a small selection from summer days in the northern part of Denmark.
Thanks for all the help and contribution to Camillo & Marietta’s fantastic summer to you, Martin van Meerbeke!
